TRAFFIC ALERT: NIGHTTIME TRAFFIC TEMPORARILY DETOURED OFF INTERSTATE 81 AT EXIT 146 NEXT WEEK
During these operations, I-81 traffic will be routed onto the exit ramps to proceed across Plantation Road and then back onto the interstate. Plantation Road traffic will be able to access I-81, but drivers will need to use caution and expect delays. During this detour, flaggers will control traffic on Plantation Road.
Weather permitting, I-81 traffic will be routed onto the ramps at Exit 146 four times next week: two nights for northbound I-81 on Monday, July 21 and Tuesday, July 22 and two nights for southbound I-81 on Thursday, July 24 and Sunday, July 27. Work will start at 11 p.m. each night and continue until 5 a.m. the next morning.
Work on the Plantation Road bridge is expected to be completed in November.
