TRAFFIC ALERT: ROUTE 639 IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY TO CLOSE FOR ABOUT A MONTH
SALEM – On Tuesday, Sept. 29, a section of Route 639 (Mount Pleasant Road) in Montgomery County will be closed. The 0.2-mile section of Route 639 is located just west of its intersection with Route 637 (Alleghany Springs Road).
The road will be closed for about a month, so a retaining wall can be constructed along Elliott Creek.
Traffic will be detoured onto Route 638 (Georges Run Road) until the retaining wall is completed.
