SALEM – (2:45 p.m.) Motorists can expect potential delays due to a tractor trailer accident on Interstate 581 at mile maker 3.5 in Roanoke County.  The southbound right lane, right shoulder and entrance ramp are closed. The westbound right lane of Route 101 (Hershberger Road) leading to the I-581 southbound on-ramp is also closed.  

No estimate for reopening the lanes has been provided by the Virginia Department of Transportation Salem Traffic Operations Center.

Motorists should drive with caution and expect delays in this area.
