TRAFFIC ALERT: ROUTE 116 IN ROANOKE COUNTY EXPECTED TO REMAIN CLOSED THROUGH MID-AFTERNOON
Route 116 has been closed near the Franklin County line since early Tuesday morning due to a tractor-trailer crash

SALEM – The northbound and southbound lanes of Route 116 (Jae Valley Road) in Roanoke County are expected to remain closed through mid-afternoon near the Franklin County line due to a tractor-trailer crash that occurred just after 7 a.m. Tuesday morning.  Crews are still working on cleanup from the crash.  

Currently, traffic on Route 116 is being detoured as follows:
Drivers should take Route 659 (Mayfield Drive) to
Route 617 (Pitzer Road) to
Route 803 (Coopers Cove Road)

Motorists are advised to use caution in the area and expect delays.  For up to the minute traffic information, call 511 or log onto www.511virginia.org.
