SALEM— VDOT will hold a meeting to gather public input on a series of potential improvements for the exit 150 interchange on Interstate 81 in Botetourt County.  A citizen information meeting is planned for Thursday, Aug. 27, at Lord Botetourt High School to discuss the alternatives for improvement that have been developed by VDOT with assistance from a stakeholders group of area government leaders, business owners and emergency and school personnel.  

The citizen information meeting will be held on Thursday, Aug. 27, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Lord Botetourt High School, 1435 Roanoke Road, Daleville, VA 24083.  The hearing will be held in an “open house” format with no formal presentation given.  Citizens can attend at their convenience anytime between 5 and 7 p.m.  

Written comments about the project may be submitted at the meeting or until Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009 by mail to Mr. Richard L. Caywood, P.E., Virginia Department of Transportation, P.O. Box 3071, Salem, Va. 24153.  E-mail comments can be sent to saleminfo@VDOT.virginia.gov.  Please reference “Exit 150 Access Management Citizen Information Meeting Comments” in the subject heading.
