SALEM –The northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 77 in Carroll County are currently blocked.  Several tractor-trailers have crashed or jack-knifed on the roadway from mile marker one to mile marker 41.  Crews are working to remove the tractor-trailers and treat the roadway.  Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.

Drivers should only travel if absolutely necessary.  If travel is essential, drivers should check road conditions before they leave by logging onto www.511Virginia.org.
