TRAFFIC ALERT: DRIVERS SHOULD EXPECT DELAYS ON ROUTE 603 IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY

SALEM – Weather permitting, starting Monday, Oct. 3, crews will be grading and making rock and soil borings on Route 603 (North Fork Road) in Montgomery County.  Work will be performed on the section of Route 603 between its intersection with Interstate 81 and Route 11/460 (Roanoke Road).

Temporary lane closures will be in place, and flaggers will control during daytime hours from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Work is expected to be completed by Friday, Oct. 28.

The grading and test borings are needed to develop plans for future improvements.

These dates are tentative and could be adjusted depending on weather and work schedule.
