TRAFFIC ALERT: EXPECT DELAYS ON ROUTE 311 IN ROANOKE COUNTY STARTING NEXT WEEK

SALEM –Weather permitting, starting Monday, Aug. 29, crews will be working on ditches and cleaning out drainage pipes along the section of Route 311 in Roanoke County between Route 419 and the Craig County line.  

Depending on weather, work may be performed daily, Monday through Friday, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.  Traffic will be delayed at times with flaggers and pilot trucks controlling traffic.   

Ditching operations are expected to continue for about a month but may be extended longer depending on how work progresses.
