TRAFFIC ALERT: DRAINAGE WORK WILL CLOSE SECTION OF ROUTE 676 (BACK CREEK ROAD) IN ROANOKE COUNTY

SALEM – Beginning Wednesday, Aug. 10, a section of Route 676 (Back Creek Road) in Roanoke County will be closed to through traffic due a pipe replacement and drainage improvements.

The section of Route 676 starts just west of its intersection with Route 220 and extends to approximately 0.6 mile east of Route 845 (Indian Grave Road).  

Weather permitting, the road is expected to reopen to traffic by Friday, Aug. 19.

Signs will be in place advising motorists to seek alternate routes around the closure.
