TRAFFIC ALERT: BRIDGE REPAIRS TO CLOSE A SECTION OF ROUTE 614 (JENNINGS CREEK ROAD) IN BOTETOURT COUNTY
SALEM – Beginning Monday, May 21, the bridge on Route 614 (Jennings Creek Road) over Jennings Creek in Botetourt County will be closed to traffic for repairs. The repairs are needed as a result of flooding from recent rain. The bridge is located 1.4 miles north of Route 618 (McFalls Creek Road).
The bridge will remain closed starting at 8 a.m. Monday, May 21 and will reopen Wednesday, May 24, weather permitting. VDOT has coordinated with Botetourt County emergency services to install a pedestrian bridge at the site.
Message boards are in place to alert residents of the closure.
