TRAFFIC ALERT: SOUTHBOUND INTERSTATE 77 IN CARROLL COUNTY CLOSED DUE TO INCIDENT

SALEM – An incident involving two tractor trailer and three other vehicles has closed both southbound lanes of Interstate 77 in Carroll County at mile marker 3.  Southbound traffic is currently backed up for several miles.   

A detour is in place to route cars and smaller vehicles off southbound I-77 at exit 8.  The detour route is not suitable for tractor-trailers.  

No estimated time for reopening southbound I-77 in Carroll County has been established at this time.
