TRAFFIC ALERT: WORK ON RAILROAD CROSSINGS TO IMPACT TRAFFIC AT THREE LOCATIONS IN BEDFORD COUNTY

SALEM – Repairs to railroad crossings at three locations in Bedford County will impact traffic during the week starting Monday, May 14.  The locations and tentative dates for the repairs are

• Monday, May 14 on Route 681 (Cobbs Mountain Road)
• Tuesday, May 15 on Route 689 (Irving Road)
• Wednesday, May 16 on Route 690 (Nester Road)

When work is being performed at each location, the crossing will be closed to through traffic from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Drivers will need to seek alternate routes around these closures.  Emergency vehicles will be permitted access.  

These dates and times are tentative and could be adjusted based on weather and work schedule.
