VDOT HOLDS CITIZEN INFORMATION MEETING FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AT THE INTERSECTION OF ROUTE 221 AND ROUTE 668 IN BEDFORD COUNTY

SALEM—The Virginia Department of Transportation will hold a citizen information meeting to discuss proposed plans to improve the intersection of Route 221 (Forest Road) and Route 668 (Goode Station Road) in Bedford County.   The primary purpose of the project is to improve the safety and efficiency of the intersection by providing turn lanes and enhanced access management.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Goode Volunteer Rescue Squad located at 9261 Forest Road, Goode, VA, 24556.

Written comments about the project may be submitted at the meeting or until March 2, 2012, by mail to Mr. Todd Repass, P.E., Project Manager, Virginia Department of Transportation, P.O. Box 3071, Salem, VA, 24153. Comments may also be emailed to saleminfo@vdot.virginia.gov. Please reference “Route 221 CIM Comment” in the subject line.
