TRAFFIC ALERT: BLASTING OPERATIONS AND RAMP CLOSURES SCHEDULED ON ROUTE 460 IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY
SALEM — The building of a new ramp from eastbound Route 460 bypass to westbound Route 460 business is underway and will require the following traffic impacts in the upcoming weeks:
On Friday, July 6, and Monday, July 9 through Friday July 13, blasting operations will take place on eastbound and westbound Route 460 Bypass in the vicinity of Exit 460 Business (North Franklin Street). Slow rolls will be used to stop traffic during the blasts between the hours of 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Traffic should expect delays between these hours. Slow roll conditions should last for approximately 15 minutes. Residents, drivers and businesses in the area may hear loud noises from the blasting operations.
Route 460 Bypass Ramp Closure
On Friday, July 13 at 8 p.m. through 2 p.m. in the afternoon on Saturday, July 14, the on-ramp from Route 114 (Peppers Ferry Road northeast ) to eastbound Route 460 Bypass and the exit ramp from Route 460 Bypass eastbound to Route 460 Business (North Franklin Street) will be closed.
Drivers will continue to see shoulder closures in the work zone area from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. This project is expected to be completed in June 2019.
