RICHMOND – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) posted on-line this afternoon a conceptual Public-Private Transportation Act (PPTA) proposal to maintain and operate the Dulles Toll Road in Northern Virginia.

The unsolicited PPTA proposal was submitted by the Autostrade Group, John Laing plc and the Infrastructure Investment Group LLC, which comprise the Dulles Corridor Mobility Consortium.

Other private-sector companies have until October 28, 2005 to submit competing proposals.

Following the posting period, a review process under PPTA guidelines will take place.
