E-ZPASS NIGHT AT THE RICHMOND BRAVES
VDOT Will Give $10 in Paid Tolls To First 200 E-ZPass Applicants
Now there are even more benefits.
E-ZPass Virginia customers will receive two-for-one general admission tickets to the Richmond Braves game Friday, May 23, at the Diamond by showing their E-ZPass transponders or a copy of their account statement at the ticket window.
E-ZPass Virginia is sponsoring the Richmond Braves versus Durham Bulls game 7 p.m., May 23 to promote the benefits of electronic toll collection. Ticket holders can sign up for E-ZPass at the game.
The first 200 individuals who submit an application at the game or return an application that they received at the game will receive a $10 credit on their newly-opened E-ZPass accounts.
The first 1,500 fans also will receive a Braves figurine courtesy of E-ZPass.
“Taking just a few minutes to sign up for E-ZPass pays off,” said Deborah Brown, Innovative Finance and Revenue Operations division administrator for the Virginia Department of Transportation. “Not only will applicants start enjoying the coin-free, hassle-free way to pay tolls. They will be given $10 in paid tolls just in time for summer travel.”
E-ZPass is an electronic toll collection system that quickly and efficiently moves traffic through toll facilities in Virginia and along much of the East Coast. Motorists with E-ZPass transponders can travel through participating toll roads, and tolls are automatically deducted from their prepaid accounts.
E-ZPass can be used at the following Richmond-area toll facilities:
- The Downtown Expressway (Route 195)
- The Pocahontas Parkway (Route 895)
- Powhite Parkway and Powhite Parkway Extension (Route 76)
