VDOT TO HOLD SECOND INFORMATION MEETING FOR 2030 TRANSPORTATION STUDY FOR TOWN OF WOODSTOCK

STAUNTON – The Virginia Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting regarding the 2030 Transportation Study for the Town of Woodstock. The meeting will be held on April 26 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Shenandoah County Board of Supervisors meeting room located at 600 North Main Street in Woodstock.

This is the second meeting in a series of two meetings regarding the 2030 Transportation Study for the Town of Woodstock. The first meeting was held on August 15, 2006.

During the meeting, from 6-6:30 p.m. there will be a presentation of the findings and recommendations for the 2030 Transportation Study. From 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. there will be a question and answer period.

Topics covered in the study include: land development, population projections, existing and projected traffic volumes and related performance measures and identifying bicycle and pedestrian destinations.
