ACCIDENTS CAUSE LANE CLOSURES ON I-8 IN AUGUSTA COUNTY
All lanes are reopened
STAUNTON – Two accidents in the Interstate 81 southbound lanes in Augusta County caused lane closures earlier today. At mile marker 223 a mail truck was involved in an accident, closing one southbound lane until approximately 8:20 a.m. when both southbound lanes were closed to off-load the truck. One lane was reopened around 9 a.m. with all lanes open at 9:20 a.m.
At approximately 7:30 a.m. at mile marker 225 southbound a single lane closure resulted this morning from an accident involving a tractor trailer and automobile. All lanes were reopened at approximately 8:15 a.m.
