SIGNAL OUT AT ROUTE 340 AND ROUTE 631 IN WAYNESBORO AREA
The Virginia Department of Transportation is working on securing a new signal box and installing it at this intersection, but VDOT officials do not have an estimate of when the work may be done. Motorists, especially commuters in the morning, should expect delays. VDOT is installing signs for a temporary four-way stop at this intersection for interim traffic control.
Motorists are advised to use extreme caution as they travel through this location and be alert for this new and temporary traffic pattern.
Traffic alerts and traveler information can be obtained by dialing 511. In areas where 511 is unavailable, dial 1-866-MY511VA (695-1182). (TTY/TDD users, call 711). Traffic alerts and traveler information also are available at 511Virginia.org.
