ACCIDENT ON I-81 AT JUST SOUTH OF HARRISONBURG CAUSING DELAYS

STAUNTON – (5:50 P.M.) An accident on Interstate 81 in Rockingham County at mile marker 240 is causing delays in both the northbound and southbound lanes. This location is just south of the northbound exit ramp at exit 240 at Route 257 near Bridgewater. Both southbound lanes are closed at this location. Southbound traffic is getting by using the interchange exit ramps. Backups are approximately five miles according the Virginia Department of Transportation Staunton Transportation Operations Center.
