STAUNTON – Interstate 64, westbound at mile marker 27 in Alleghany County, has a vehicle accident including two tractor trailers. Both westbound lanes are closed. A detour has been set up at Exit 27, westbound and ends at exit 24, westbound onto I-64. Motorists may want to choose alternate routes.

Officials at the scene say the lanes will remain closed for an extended period of time.

This location is between exit 27 at Route 60/220/629 (Clifton Forge/Iron Gate Exit) and exit 24 at Route 60/220/384 (Clifton Forge/Dabney Lancaster Community College). Motorists should expect significant delays in this area.
