I-81 NORTHBOUND LANES OPEN IN ROCKINGHAM COUNTY

STAUNTON – (6:45 p.m.) All lanes are open on Interstate 81 northbound at mile marker 247 in Rockingham County. A tractor trailer accident closed both northbound lanes earlier this evening. This location is at exit 247 at Route 33 in the Harrisonburg/Valley Mall area.

The right lane of Route 33 westbound will remain closed due to minor bridge damage.

Motorists should drive with caution and expect delays in this area.

The VDOT Staunton District serves Frederick, Shenandoah, Clarke, Warren, Page, Rockingham, Augusta, Highland, Rockbridge, Alleghany and Bath counties.
