PORTION OF ROUTE 522 IN STEPHENS CITY AREA TO CLOSE FOR REPAIRS

STAUNTON – The Virginia Department of Transportation will be performing bridge railing and guardrail repairs on Route 522 South (Front Royal Pike) in the southbound driving lane. The work extends from Route 644 East (West Parkins Mill Road) to Route 1507 (Clydesdale Drive) in the Stephens City area of Frederick County.

The southbound lane will be closed in this location during this work. Additionally the width restriction on the roadway will be 12 feet.

The closure is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, July 7 at 7:00 a.m. The estimated completion date is Wednesday, July 15 at 5:00 p.m.

All work is weather permitting.
