BRIDGE AND RAMP WORK CONTINUES AND WILL CLOSE SOME RAMPS AT I-81 EXIT 247
STAUNTON – Bridge deck repairs will be done on the westbound Route 33 bridge over Interstate 81 in the Harrisonburg area. This is in the vicinity of I-81 exit 247.
The on-ramp for eastbound Route 33 traffic headed northbound on I-81 will be closed. Also the exit ramp for I-81 northbound traffic headed to Route 33 westbound will be closed. The closures began on Oct. 4. Work will continue Oct. 11 to 14 from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should follow detour signs. Information about the closure and detour will be available by calling 511 or visiting the 511 website at www.511Virginia.org.
The VDOT Staunton District serves Frederick, Shenandoah, Clarke, Warren, Page, Rockingham, Augusta, Highland, Rockbridge, Alleghany and Bath counties.
