BRIDGE REPLACEMENT TO CLOSE PORTION OF ROUTE 601 IN SHENANDOAH COUNTY

STAUNTON – Bridge replacement work will close the Route 601 (Battlefield Road) Bridge over Tumbling Run at 0.15 miles west of Route 757 (Copp Road/Green Acres Drive) in the Fishers Hill area of Shenandoah County. The road is scheduled to close on Aug. 1 and is estimated to reopen in early September.

Traffic will be detoured from the east end of Route 601 to Route 757 north to Route 638 (Junction Road) west to Route 623 (Back Road) south back to Route 601. Traffic from the west end of Route 601 will follow the detour in reverse. Signs will be posted.

All work is weather permitting.
