I-81 LANE CLOSURE IN SHENANDOAH COUNTY
STAUNTON – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will close the left lane of Interstate 81, northbound from mile marker 278.9 to 279.2 to reinstall guardrail that was damaged in a tractor trailer incident that occurred earlier this morning.
The lane closure began this morning at 7:30 a.m. and is estimated to reopen at 5 p.m.
Motorists should drive with caution and expect delays in this area.
The VDOT Staunton District serves Frederick, Shenandoah, Clarke, Warren, Page, Rockingham, Augusta, Highland, Rockbridge, Alleghany and Bath counties.
