BOTH I-81 NORTHBOUND LANES CLOSED IN ROCKINGHAM COUNTY
STAUNTON – (7:45 a.m.) A tractor-trailer crash has closed both northbound lanes on Interstate 81 in Rockingham County. The location is at mile marker 256 northbound, which is between exit 251 at Route 11 in Harrisonburg and exit 257 at Route 11 in Mauzy.
Traffic is being diverted onto exit 251 to Route 11 northbound and back onto I-81 northbound at exit 257.
No estimate for reopening the lanes has been provided by the Virginia Department of Transportation Staunton Traffic Operations Center.
Motorists should expect significant delays in this area.
