BOTH NORTHBOUND LANES CLOSED ON I-81 IN ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY
STAUNTON – (4:30 a.m.) Both northbound lanes of Interstate 81 are closed at mile marker 196 in Rockbridge County due to an incident with two tractor trailers.
Traffic is being diverted onto exit 195 (Lexington/Timber Ridge) to Route 11 northbound and back onto I-81 northbound at exit 213 (Greenville).
No estimate for reopening the lanes has been provided by the Virginia Department of Transportation Staunton Traffic Operations Center.
Motorists should drive with caution and expect delays in this area.
