LANE CLOSURES TONIGHT ON INTERSTATE 81 NORTHBOUND IN FREDERICK COUNTY
STAUNTON – Drivers on Interstate 81 northbound in Frederick County should expect lane closures tonight (January 22, 2014) while crews remove a tractor trailer from an earlier accident. The location is at mile marker 318.5 near Winchester, between exits 317 and 321.
The northbound right lane and right shoulder of I-81 will close about 8 p.m. Wednesday, and will re-open before the Thursday morning commute. A brief full closure of the northbound side of the interstate is possible sometime during the operation.
Virginia State Police and variable message boards will help control traffic. All work is weather permitting.
