ROUTE 671 IN FREDERICK COUNTY TO CLOSE AUGUST 18 FOR BRIDGE REPLACEMENT
STAUNTON – The Virginia Department of Transportation will close part of Route 671 (Shockeysville Road) in northern Frederick County for a bridge replacement. The road is scheduled to be closed from August 18 to August 29, 2014, weather permitting.
Signs will direct drivers on the following detours:
- Westbound traffic will follow Route 690 (Howards Chapel Road) west, Route 600 (Brush Creek Road) northwest, then Route 692 (Pack Horse Road) north back to Route 671.
- Eastbound traffic will follow Route 692 (Pack Horse Road) south, Route 600 (Brush Creek Road) southeast, then Route 690 (Howards Chapel Road) east back to Route 671.
The VDOT Staunton District serves Frederick, Shenandoah, Clarke, Warren, Page, Rockingham, Augusta, Highland, Rockbridge, Alleghany and Bath counties.
