TRACTOR TRAILER ACCIDENT CLOSES SOUTHBOUND I-81 IN SHENANDOAH COUNTY
STAUNTON – (1:20 p.m.) Both southbound lanes of Interstate 81 in Shenandoah County are blocked due to a tractor trailer accident at exit 279 (Edinburg). The southbound side of the interstate is expect to be closed for at least two hours. There is currently a 10-mile backup.
A detour has been established at exit 279. Drivers will use the off- and on-ramp to cross Route 185 and rejoin the interstate.
