Bicycling and Barbeque
Location: Galax

Description: The second Bicycling and Barbeque event will be held on the roads in and around Galax on Saturday July 14.
The event is held in conjunction with "Smoke on the Mountain," the Virginia Barbecue Championship. All proceeds from Bicycling and Barbeque go directly to the Free Medical Clinic of the Twin Counties (501.c.3) and are tax deductible.
Bicycling and Barbeque offers four route choices ranging from 25 to 60 miles, including two "challenge" loops. We have fully supplied rest stops, SAG service, free parking and post-ride showers.
Included in your registration is an event shirt and a BBQ lunch (with pound cake). Plan to leave your car in the parking area and enjoy the festival after the ride. This includes a free outdoor concert (last year, The Chairmen of the Board entertained the crowd) and crowning of the state's BBQ champions.
