Schedule

As a result of weather conditions or other factors, this schedule is subject to change.

Fall 2006/Winter 2007 (Nov. 2006- Feb. 2007)

Completed construction of the new eastbound extension at I-464.
Completed the transition of the existing interchange to a temporary configuration with traffic lights to enable demolition and construction of the first phase of the Battlefield Boulevard bridge.

Spring/Summer 2007 (Mar. 2007- Aug 2007)

Opened the first phase of the new Battlefield Boulevard bridge.
Began demolition of the existing bridge to enable construction of the new interstate lanes.

Fall 2007/Winter 2008 (Sep. 2007- Feb. 2008)

Completed I-64 mainline traffic shifts to the collector/distributor lanes (CD lanes).
Began demolition of the old interstate lanes.

Spring/Summer 2008 (Mar. 2008-Aug. 2008)

Fall 2008/Winter 2009 (Sep. 2008-Feb. 2009)

Complete the new Battlefield Boulevard interchange.
Remove the temporary lights on Battlefield Boulevard.
Complete I-64 mainline construction and place traffic in its final configuration.

Spring/Summer 2009 (Mar. 2009-Jul. 2009)

Final project completion.
Remove temporary widenings.
Complete all services such as Traffic Management Systems, lighting, and overhead message boards.
