Value Engineering
Training
The Value Engineering (VE) program has trained over 2,000 people since its inception in 1990. Those attending one of the three training courses include VDOT staff and local and private sector engineers.
Courses
Value Engineering methodology
A 32-hour course that covers the entire VE process (job plan) and incorporates a study of a planned construction project. Course results are reviewed and addressed as an actual VE study. This is the backbone of VE training program.
SAVE International workshop
A Society of American Value Engineers International-approved Module I VE training workshop. The course meets the requirements for certification as a Certified Value Specialist in the VE profession. on.
Management overview
This one-day course is for supervisors and others who may review VE recommendations, or have contact with the program, but not serve as team members. bers.
