The Interstate 81 north and southbound lane closure near Exit 45 at the bridges over Route 658 (Scratch Gravel Road) in Marion is in place.

The contractor, DLB, Inc., Hillsville, is replacing the north and southbound concrete bridge deck, steel beams and railings.

Work is currently underway underneath the bridge and motorists traveling on Scratch Gravel Road may experience slight delays.

Interstate 81 will be restricted to one lane at the bridges through August 2012.
