What's Being Done
Right of way acquisition is currently underway for the Route 83 – Lover’s Gap project in Buchanan County, which will reconstruct a section of Route 83 located near the intersection of Route 718.
Construction, estimate at $12.6 million, is currently scheduled to begin in 2013.
Background Information
A public hearing was held for the project on June 5, 2008 at Russell Prater Elementary School. VDOT's Chief Engineer approved the design plans for the project September 12, 2008.
