Improve intersection and approaches at Route 674
The project will improve safety and movement for motorists using Route 605 by adding turn lanes at the intersection of Route 674 (Atlee Road). The turn lanes will allow traffic turning off Route 605 onto Route 674 south to do so from a dedicated lane while through traffic can proceed along Route 605.
Along with the turn lanes and roadway widening at the intersection approaches, the project will also replace the bridge over Mill Run with a concrete box culvert. The culvert will allow the roadway to be widened and provide sufficient shoulders for a greater margin of safety for those using the road.
