What's Being Done
Unsafe conditions are being caused by the increasingly long backup of trucks exiting Interstate 95 onto Route 207.
This project will improve the traffic movement by relocating Route 652 to a point approximately 1000 feet east of the current location.
The proposed typical section generally reflects a rural collector design with two 12-foot lanes and 8-foot shoulders on Route 652.
Intersection improvements will include turn lanes and a new signal; dual left turn lanes are proposed from Route 207 to relocated north Route 652.
Pavement design will accommodate heavy truck traffic.
