Route 17 Overpass Replacement and Widening
Project at a Glance
This project will replace the existing Route 17 overpass at Interstate 95 in Spotsylvania County with a new, four-lane overpass. The existing overpass is structurally deficient.
Route 17 will also be widened to four lanes between Route 1 and Hospital Boulevard, with the addition of a sidewalk/shared use path along Route 17.
This Smart Scale project is fully funded through construction. The project schedule is still under development. Dates for estimated construction will be posted to this page as soon as they are available.
