Project Overview

This project is proposed to coordinate and upgrade traffic signals along Route 17 (George Washington Memorial Highway) in Gloucester County, between the George P. Coleman Bridge and the Route 17/Route 17 Business Intersection. 

Through coordination and upgrading traffic signal equipment, VDOT seeks to improve the flow of traffic along Route 17, reducing congestion, and promoting safety. 

Public Hearing

The public is invited to submit comments on the proposed project at an upcoming public hearing:

Stop by anytime between 5-7 p.m. to meet VDOT officials, view proposed plans and maps, ask questions, and provide comments. There will be no formal presentation at the hearing.

For anyone unable to attend the public hearing, comments may also be submitted through the close of business on Monday, May 12, 2014.
