Project Details

This project will widen Ladysmith Road to four lanes with a raised median from Interstate 95 to Route 1 in Caroline County.

The project will include installation of new traffic signal equipment, sidewalks and crosswalks. A modified traffic signal will be installed at Route 1 and Ladysmith Road.

This Smart Scale project is fully funded through construction.

Design Public Hearing: April 18, 2018

The public is invited to learn more about this project and provide comments at a design public hearing.

Stop by anytime between 5-7 p.m. to review project plans and documents, and provide comment. VDOT staff will be available to answer questions.

No formal presentation will be delivered at the public hearing.
