About the Project:
The project will widen
A new traffic signal will be installed at the intersection of Fort Eustis Boulevard and Clubhouse Way and Woodside Lane.
This project includes the installation of new drainage systems and storm water management basins, soundwalls, landscaping and paving of the shoulders along the roadway. Construction of the two new westbound lanes is complete and work on the two new eastbound lanes is nearing completion. Crews will perform final work in this area, with the placement of surface asphalt and installation of the right-of-way fence on Fort Eustis Boulevard.
Update:
In mid-November, eastbound traffic was shifted to the newly upgraded eastbound lanes, while westbound traffic continues to travel in the newly-constructed westbound lanes. The inside lane in both directions will remain closed for median construction and placement of surface asphalt. Once completed, traffic will shift to the inside lanes during final construction this winter.
