What's Being Done
This Urban (State/Local funded) project widens Lynnhaven Parkway from four lanes to six lanes including pavement, drainage, water and sewer utility improvements, traffic signal upgrades, bridge widening and landscaping. The road widening work will extend from just west of Holland Road to just east of Lishelle Place near Lynnhaven Mall. Construction started on this $24.9 million project in January 2008 and completion is scheduled for May 2011.
Motorists should expect alternating lane closures on Lynnhaven Parkway between Holland Road and Lishelle Place for crosswalk and paving operations each Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during construction.
