Project Trivia

• Construction of the I-295 flyover project required 6.7 million pounds of steel. That's equal to the weight of aluminum it takes to make forty-five 747 airplanes.
  
• This project has over 300,000 square feet of retaining wall and sound wall. That's enough wall to cover six football fields.
  
• This project required over 46,357 truck loads of material to be hauled on and off the site. Lined up end to end, the trucks would stretch from Richmond to Washington, D.C. and back.
  
• The project required 153,623 square feet of fence fabric. That's enough fence to cover the floor of the Richmond Coliseum seven times.
