- I-295 South traffic shift from current southbound lanes to shared use of
northbound lanes between I-64/I-295 interchange and Nuckols Road

- Ramp from I-64 West to I-295 South shifted to new location heading towards
Nuckols Road COMPLETED
- Overnight detour (10:00 p.m.-5:30 a.m.) of I-64 East onto Broad Street, in
order to place structural steel over I-64 East for the new flyover bridge

Summer/fall 2007
- Demolition of existing Pouncey Tract Road bridge to require overnight
detours (10:00 p.m.-5:30 a.m.) of I-64 east and west to Route 250 (Broad
Street) COMPLETED
Overnight detour (10:00 p.m.-5:30 a.m.) of I-64 West onto Broad Street, in
order to place structural steel over I-64 west for the new flyover
bridge. COMPLETED
Fall/winter 2007
- Complete the first phase of the sound wall between I-295 North towards I-64
West behind Parsons Walk and Cobblestone Landing. COMPLETED
- Overnight detour (10:30 p.m.-5:30 a.m.) of I-64 onto Broad Street, in order
to place structural steel for the new southbound section of the Pouncey Tract
Road bridge COMPLETED
June 2008
Through spring 2009:
- Opening additional lane I-64 East and West between Route 288 and the I-295
interchange. Sections will be opened to traffic as they are completed.
Fall 2008
- New flyover bridge complete. Motorists on I-64 East traveling to I-295 South
will use the new flyover bridge.
Early 2009
- Second phase of sound wall construction begins between I-295 North towards
I-64 and the Twin Hickory neighborhoods of Waters Edge and Cobblestone Landing
Spring 2009
- Overnight detour (10:30 p.m.-5:30 a.m.) of I-64 onto Broad Street in order
to demolish the existing I-295 South bridge
- Complete the second phase of the sound wall between I-295 North towards I-64
West behind the neighborhoods of Cobblestone Landing and Waters Edge
