What's Being Done

This study was conducted to identify and quantify current morning commuting patterns of Virginia and Maryland residents crossing the Potomac River via the American Legion Bridge. The purpose of this effort was to better understand overall origin and general destination patterns, as well as gain some insight on commuter destinations along employment corridors.

This study was designed to collect a limited amount of data and to present findings of the data collection effort. It is hoped that data and findings will be useful in traffic management decisions and ongoing and future studies.
