About the Project
This project is rehabilitating the Gallows Road (Route 650) bridge over Route 50 (Arlington Boulevard). The bridge was built in 1985.
This is the second phase of the project. Phase 1 (pier repairs) was completed in July 2016.
The 2015 average daily traffic was 39,000 vehicles for Gallows Road and 41,000 for Route 50 under the bridge.

Motorists can expect intermittent daytime single-lane closures during off-peak hours on Route 50 and Gallows Road.
In addition, there will be nighttime multiple-lane closures during off-peak hours on Route 50 and Gallows Road. These will include the closure of two or more of the ramps at the interchange. When these ramps are closed, a signed detour route will be provided to direct traffic.
At least one lane of traffic will be open at all times on both Route 50 and Gallows Road. Access will be provided at all times to properties within the project limits.
