About the Project
This project is rehabilitating the I-66 bridge over the ramp from northbound Route 110 to westbound I-66, and the ramp from southbound George Washington Memorial Parkway to eastbound I-66/westbound Route 50.
The bridge was built in 1965. The following photos show some of the needed repairs:
The bridge averages 54,000 vehicles a day on eastbound I-66 and 44,000 vehicles westbound.

Most work is being done behind concrete barriers with minimal impacts to traffic. In the few instances where lane closures are required, they will occur at night: on eastbound I-66 Monday through Friday between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m., and on westbound I-66 Monday through Friday between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
