What's Being Done

This project will replace the southbound Route 29 bridge deck and widen the road over Broad Run in Prince William County. The existing southbound bridge will be replaced with offsite-fabricated segments. Crews will also complete substructure concrete repairs and re-align the roadway. This work is scheduled to be complete in fall 2008.

Impact on Traffic

During construction, motorists can expect lane closures during off-peak travel times. There will be no lane closures during rush hours. Nighttime detours will occur over 12 independent nights during the final phase of the project when pre-fabricated segments will be set. Two travel lanes in each direction will be maintained through the duration of the project.
