What's Being Done

• Route 50 and Route 15 (Gilbert's Corner)
• Route 50 and Watson Road
• Route 50 and Howsers Branch Drive (new connector road)
• Route 15 and Howsers Branch Drive (new connector road)

The newly built Howsers Branch Drive will link Routes 50 and 15 with roundabouts at each end, allowing some northbound Route 15 traffic and westbound Route 50 traffic to bypass Gilbert's Corner. This will reduce vehicles to the Route 15/50 intersection by about one-third.

Project Updates

The ribbon-cutting for the Gilberts Corner roundabouts was held Nov. 30, 2009, at the Historic Mount Zion Church on Route 50 at the Watson Road roundabout.
